Basement Laundrorama

Small Laundromat/Owner Unknown/No Bias

This small Laundromat is frequently catered by shadowrunners, gangs, and general street people who’s clothing has gotten too nasty to stand. (Bet you didn’t know runners did laundry). The Mat is quite large, taking up the basement of a half block sized apartment building, and contains nearly 100 washers and dryers. Lighting is low and reserved and, for one reason on another, old Beatles songs perpetually play over the PA system. Nobody has ever seen a machine break down (they’re extremely sturdy) and all payments are made with certified cred directly to the machine. There is a special understanding inside the Mat that nobody messes with anybody, even if they happen to be blood enemies who have seen each other for the first time in fifteen years. It is perhaps one of the most neutral territories on the face of the earth.

Tavern Of Butt

Small Bar/Kevin McAffe, Owner/Subtle Bias Against Elves

The Tavern Of Butt is more of a gambling hall than anything else, run by a human Irish escape who has no gambling ability whatsoever. Once he even lost the deed to the bar during a game but the winner was kind enough to give it back in exchange for a life time supply of Killians. The mood is generally festive and laid back and both the patrons and owner will go to great lengths to defuse adverse situations before they happen. The bar gets its name from the fact that, mounted on the wall above the bar, is not the head and antlers of a moose, but the ass instead.

Key Grip Cafe

Small Coffee House/Delila Brojin, Owner/No Bias

The Key Grip cafe is mainly patronized by members of the film (ok, trideo) community who couldn’t quite make it in the big time. Scattered about the two room cafe are multiple screens playing old film and trideo movies, all of which tend to have a depressing theme. The Key Grip is also well known for their annual Cigarette And Coffee Challenge, in which contestants see who can smoke the most cigarettes and drink the most coffee within an hour. It is not unusual for more than one contestant to suffer a heart attack during the Challenge.
